Vision & Mission

A headshot should do the work for you.

I came up shooting in Los Angeles — a market that moves fast, demands specificity, and has little patience for images that don't serve a purpose. That experience shaped the way I approach every session: with intention, precision, and a genuine interest in who you are and where you're going.

A great headshot isn't about the most expensive lighting rig or the heaviest retouch. It's about the moment when something true surfaces on your face — confidence, warmth, authority, openness — and the camera catches it cleanly. My job is to create the conditions where that happens, then recognize it when it does.

Now based in Portland, I work with professionals across every industry who understand that their image is an asset. Whether you need one sharp look or a full visual identity, I keep sessions collaborative, unhurried, and focused entirely on what your headshot needs to accomplish for you.

The Process

What to expect, start to finish

01
Pre-Session Consult

Before we shoot, we talk. I want to understand who you are, where your image will live, and what you need it to say. This step shapes every decision that follows — from wardrobe to background to the energy we're going for.

02
Preparation

You'll receive a detailed prep guide covering wardrobe, grooming, and what to expect on the day. Arriving prepared means more time shooting and less time figuring things out on the spot.

03
The Session

I coach you through the entire shoot — posing, expression, energy, all of it. You'll never be left wondering what to do. Sessions are relaxed, directive, and built around bringing out the best version of you.

04
Delivery

Within 5–7 business days, your fully retouched, high-resolution files arrive via an online gallery — print-ready and web-optimized, licensed for professional use across any platform.

Who I Work With

Your image matters — whatever your industry

From first-time subjects to seasoned professionals, I work with anyone who understands that a great image is worth investing in.

🎭

Actors & Performers

From theatrical submissions to commercial castings, I understand what the industry looks for — and how to capture your full range in a single, compelling frame.

💼

Executives & Professionals

Your headshot is often the first handshake. Project authority, approachability, and trust — simultaneously. Let's make sure yours earns that meeting.

🚀

Entrepreneurs & Founders

Your personal brand is your business's most powerful asset. Let's build an image that reflects the vision you're selling — and the team you're growing.

🏡

Real Estate Agents

Clients choose their agent before they choose a home. A warm, confident portrait builds the trust that starts — and sustains — the relationship.

✍️

Authors & Creatives

Your author photo sets the tone for your entire body of work. It should feel like the world you create — thoughtful, original, unmistakably yours.

🩺

Doctors & Therapists

Patients need to feel safe before they ever walk through the door. A composed, genuine portrait establishes that trust from the very first glance.

Before Your Session

Arrive prepared.
Leave confident.

The best headshots come from clients who walk in knowing what to expect. Once you book, you'll receive my full prep guide — but here are the essentials that make the biggest difference.

  • 01
    Wardrobe

Solid colors and simple patterns photograph best. Avoid logos, heavy prints, or anything that draws the eye away from your face. Bring a few options — we'll choose together on the day.

  • 02
    Grooming

Schedule haircuts and color appointments 3–5 days before your session, not the morning of. For makeup, aim for a polished, natural look. Avoid SPF-heavy products, which can appear chalky under studio lighting and also affect the overall skin texture.

  • 03
    Rest & Hydration

It sounds simple, but a good night's sleep and proper hydration the day before makes a visible difference. You'll feel more relaxed in front of the camera — and it shows in the images.

  • 04
    Mindset

You don't need to know how to pose. That's my job. Come in open, curious, and ready to experiment. The best moments almost always happen when we stop trying to perform and just start talking.

Most of my clients feel nervous when they arrive and forget that feeling within the first ten minutes. I coach you through every moment — you won't be left guessing what to do with your hands or your face. The goal is for you to feel like yourself, not like you're performing for a camera.
